Novaterm in-floor convectors — invisible heating for modern interiors. The perfect solution for spaces with panoramic windows, glass facades, and designer environments where every centimetre matters. The convector is completely hidden in the floor behind a decorative grille — you get warmth without compromising aesthetics.

Niche preparation and clearances

Prepare a niche with thermal and waterproofing insulation under the casing. Provide drainage openings in the bottom of the casing to evacuate any condensate or water ingress during construction. Recommended clearances: – 80–200 mm from the window – minimum 30 mm from the front wall for airflow – level the casing to the finished floor within ±1 mm Perform hydraulic testing at 1.5 MPa (test pressure) before closing the floor. Maximum working pressure in operation — 1.0 MPa.

Concrete floor pouring

Before pouring the concrete floor, verify: – correct installation of convector at floor level – secure fixation of housing to floor – connection of supply/return pipes, thermostatic and shutoff valves – operation of the control system

Coolant parameters

Maximum coolant pressure — 1 MPa, maximum temperature — 120°C. To prevent premature corrosion of the convector heat exchanger, the following coolant parameters should be maintained: – pH value = 7.5..9.0 – H2CO3/SO4 ratio >1 – chloride content <50 mg/l – solids content <7 mg/l Operation with ethylene glycol and propylene glycol antifreeze coolants is permitted.

Important notes for installing the convector box in the floor

To prevent cement mortar from entering the convector housing, seal all openings. Protect the aluminum border from possible damage with masking tape. Insulate supply and return pipes. Cover the convector housing with a protective cover if necessary (not included in delivery). Do not allow cement to contact the grille or decorative frame — damage may occur. After cement has cured, lay the floor covering. – Remove the protective cover. – Place the grille. – The convector is ready for operation. Do not allow the convector housing to bear loads from the floor. When using expanding floor coverings such as parquet, or underfloor heating systems, install expansion joints (e.g., cork or rubber strips) at the junction of the convector frame with the floor covering.

Automation for NT-V (24V) models

Fan-assisted convectors are controlled via the Ecosvet-200 unit powered from a 24 V DC source (AC 230 V / DC 24 V power supply). The controller drives the tangential fans (0–10 V) and the thermostatic valve actuator in parallel. A single controller can manage multiple convectors connected in parallel on the 24 V bus. A wall-mounted room thermostat (e.g. Siemens RDG160) provides setpoint control. Protection class — IP-X3. Pipe materials compatible with the convector: steel, copper, brass; all fittings must comply with national heating-system standards.
